Providing a large range of boat services in to the west cork market with a locally based commercial and leisure marine market.
Expanding into windsurfing with West Cork Boardsailing Center , training and providing suitable equipment.
In the mid 1980s the diving market was developing in Ireland Gokane marine services played a big part in establishing that west cork was seen as prime area for diving in Ireland internationally.
During the late 1980s appointed the local Area Officer for the now Irish Coast Guard Service and served in this position for nearly 20 years.
